I can honestly say I didn't expect them to have a shot at the playoffs this year.

Stars can keep him! We don't want him!

Great addition IMO. We need a guy that isn't afraid to get in front of the goalie and mix it up a little. I think he fills a void the Pens have had for a while.

Sad to see Morrow (Brenden) go, but it's probably the right move to make. Stars weren't going to re-sign him for next year, most likely, and in return they get one of the top 20 prospects (labeled "untouchable" in trades by many front office people) in the league at a position they desperately need some help at.

Honestly, if Morrow (Joe) pans out, the Stars might finally have a decent D again in a few years for the first time in a decade. Dillon, Oleksiak, and Morrow have potential, and if Goligoski ever finds some consistency he'll be a decent leader going forward.

Farm system still needs a stand-out player; lots of serviceable talent, and I guess it's hard to complain with Benn coming through not so long ago, but a big offensive talent would be nice.

On the plus side, I think my prediction of their playoff doom might have been a touch premature. They've shown some life in the past few games, albeit squarely on Kari's back (as usual) and one of which was against the Avalanche...

Chances to make it in aren't bad when you look at the parity in the West; that also makes their chances pretty shaky, too. At least the top offensive line hasn't been -343 in the past few games like they seemed to have been for several weeks.

I did forget how much better he gets during the playoffs. I retract my previous statement.

Pens with 13 wins in a row. Morrow already bangin' down low and in the corners. I love this roster.

Let's add Jerome Iginla to the roster. Holy shit balls.

If they put him and Morrow on the third line together, that would be 3 lines of top scoring power!

And i promise you, they will get one more decent deal before the deadline. I just wonder who they would deal to get that person.

How I would like to see it:
                          Kunitz Crosby Dupuis
                          Iginla Malkin Neal
                          Morrow Sutter Cooke
                          Kennedy Adams Glass

With all of that talent, it's hard to say. Don't forget about Beau either.

Cup is pens to lose now. I wouldn't have made those trades for Iginla or to get rid of him.

To bad I missed the game, because I was watching March Madness....

Jaromir Jagr got his 1,000th NHL assist. The Dallas Stars got some revenge.

Jagr became the 12th player in League history to reach 1,000 assists and the Stars avenged a 7-4 home loss to Minnesota four days earlier with a 5-3 victory Friday night that snapped the Wild's seven-game winning streak.
