Texas A&M is hands down better than UT this year in my opinion. The only teams that have beaten us are ranked #4 and #7, we have also beaten the current #2 team in the BCS rankings. Our combined points lost by equals 8.

As for UT they got the snot completely kicked out of them by OU 63-21, right after losing at home by 3 to WVU who is currently not ranked. I find all of the talk of the SEC being over rated funny. The Big 12 seems content to kick each other around but not be able to compete with other conferences teams, examples being, OU vs ND or OSU vs AZ.

Those two teams might have the worse offenses i have ever seen by a top 10 team yet they still beat aggy, at home. Yet you brag about almost beating them. LMAO

Once again, aggy advantage in the sec is that the sec defenses aren't used to seeing a "big12" spread offense like aggy has. They're not used to the pace and get tired by the end of the game if they're behind trying to play catch up.

And i find it funny how you use those sec stadards to determine that aggy is better than Texas this year. I'm litterally laughing over here. I'll be laughing even more if Mizzou beats aggy at home for the 3rd straight year.

      • SEC standards, you mean the conference with the most teams in the top 10? Florida and LSU are in the top 5 so they must be good or is everyone else they played that bad?

OU is good, Texas and KSU are a step down, and then its everyone else in the Big 12-1-1+2.

Mizzou is not going to beat A&M this year, they lost too much talent. Their D depends on great defensive ends which they do not have this year. Mix that with the best OT duo in college and I see another high scoring game. A&M does not have the best secondary but Mizzou does not have the QB or WRs to take advantage of this.

We can agree to disagree, I am praying that we somehow meet with UT in the Cotton Bowl but I don't see that given the current state of affairs and UT most likely ending up 3rd in the Big 12. I am thinking it will be OU & A&M in the Cotton Bowl and UT heading to the Alamo bowl.

I am concerned about Mizzou, they have the ability to win and they played Florida 14 to 7. I do not think Coach Sumlin will be looking past Mizzou nor will he allow the team to lose focus. I am also happy we are playing them at home.

            • I'm not worried about a Mizzou team that couldn't beat Vandy!

If an unranked Mizzou goes into College Station and beats aggie, then their entire season has been a facade. Delicious! It won't happen, but the thought alone gives me wood. They did play Florida pretty tight.

                • Mizzou's starting qb Franklin is rumored to be out. If true this game will be over quickly. This may be Mizzou's chance for a bowl but I don't see it happening.

If A&M had anyone other than Bertolet kicking, they might have beat Florida and possibly LSU. He's the weakest link on that team, by far, and I'd be surprised if he's kicking next season.

I actually meant Mizzou and Florida (though the point goes both ways). Both A&M and Mizzou played comparable games against the Gator's. If Mizzou is without their starter QB, they're done.

Well I don't think it would make our entire season a facade, if this were true then the same would hold fast for UT getting demolished by OU; however, this year was not as bad as others for UT under the boot of OU.

I notice you would find joy if we were to lose to Mizzou, I knew you cared about the Aggies. It may not be a loving concern for us but it still shows you have interest in our program or more so our program when it fails. I am the same way, I do take a certain amount of joy in seeing UT fail, especially at home like this year against WVU. I am not proud of that

There's never been a "facade" to UT this season (or the last few for that matter). I'm not here making claims of UT owning the SEC. Your insecurities always show on this board, no matter how long between posts'. For aggie to get beat at home by unranked Mizzou is nothing even close to OU

It won't happen, but I'll bet you a lunch in downtown Waco that if Mizzou DOES win, you'll never post in this forum again...LOL!

*edit* W. Virginia was #8 going into the Texas game...with their "Heisman candidate" QB. LOL!

I would not imply that A&M owns the SEC or the Big 12. I assert that A&M would beat UT head to head this year. I hold that UT was over rated along with WVU when UT was ranked 11th and WVU #8. I contend that UT is a questionable #16 as I think UCLA, Rutgers, Michigan, and Louisville could all beat UT.

I think UT has a plethora of talent and I have yet to see another Div I team do so little with so much this season from a player talent standpoint. I think this is the beginning of new era for both programs, I see Coach Sumlin moving the Aggies forward and UT slipping until they replace Mack Brown and come to the conclusion when Muschamp left the immediate future of UT was placed in limbo.

I have been more than fair about A&M's success this year, but I will disagree. While A&M has surprised a lot of people, one year does not make them a "credible force" in the SEC. At 8-2, you find UT "slipping"? I never figured they would win 8 games. The last two seasons were horrible (though they did give the ags a proper farewell from the Big 12), but I see an upswing. The Horns are Jekyll and Hyde this season...they can be pretty good, or just flat suck. Hell, we could see TCU beat them by 20 points here in a few minutes. Either way, I love 'em.
