Bert, the SEC has six teams ranked in the national top ten. So a mathematical calculation AND the people that know college football best have the SEC fairly dominating college football but I'm supposed to believe that BERT the horns homer knows better? Tell you what, I'm just gonna stick with my statement. A&M will bust that ass if they get a bowl game with TU.

Nice moral victory! The old saying about a big fish in a little pond comes to mind. They did kick some ass against Iowa State, but too bad they wet the bed again this year against OU.
Didn't those same rocket scientists pick 'Bama by 24 or so over A&M?

A&M is doing very well, and is usually beaten down by UT. This year they have a good start not to repeat, but those same statistics you quote above are against it.

    We'll see, maybe.

What's your point? That A&M was underrated?

For the record, I'd love to see an Ags/Horns bowl game, but they're both going to have to win out to get it done and that's not likely.

LoL that would be a good point IF you were correct; however, the SEC has 14 teams and the Big 12 has 10, so you know 14-10=4, where did you get 6?

Well I was just thinking perhaps UT could get it together to be the spoiler since K-State knocked you guys off in 2006 when you were #4. Of course K-State has beaten UT everytime they have met since 2006 (3x) perhaps you are correct, Texas A&M and K-State can both beat UT this year

Well that stats over the past 6 years are 3 for 3 when UT and A&M have gone head to head. I understand that UT leads the series but the recent data shows no significant difference. I really hope Texas A&M and UT meet up in the Cotton Bowl.

You could make it "significant" using the right p-val

P-Value is just another way of expressing level of significance...rejecting the null or failing to reject the null if p-value is less than the desired alpha.

Exlude was specifically referencing small sample size which would be handled by the appropriate t disty and DF...I don't even want to think about this being a linear/ANOVA problem in the first place.

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

At a small enough confidence interval, it would be significant, no? It's been too long since my stats classes and I didn't pay nearly as much attention as I would have liked to have.

..COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — Texas A&M police say freshman wide receiver Thomas Johnson is missing.

The department says that the 18-year-old was last seen leaving his residence in College Station on Monday at 5 p.m. Johnson went to high school in Dallas and police believe he might have traveled to that area.

Lt. Allan Baron says there are no other details available.

Aggies coach Kevin Sumlin released a statement expressing his concern, saying: "Authorities are working closely with his family, friends and law enforcement agencies to help locate him ... We pray for his quick and safe return."

Johnson has appeared in 10 games this season, and has 30 catches for 339 yards and a touchdown.

                        hope the kid is alright.

                        god bless.

They reported this morning on the news he has already been found in Dallas, alive and well, and left College Station under his own free will.

Probably just needed a break. It's tough enough being away from home as a freshman, plus all the football stuff.

My oldest daughter figured out that college sports is a business, and a coaches job is based on wins/losses. Not that she didn't enjoy aspects of it, but a lot of the fun was gone.
