what's the worst for me is that after this loss i just feel disgusted.

- i watch an o-line that leaves our qb to scramble 75% of the pass plays.
- i watch a head coach who seems clueless and calls the same plays he did when he was oc (and when every dc in the league had him figured out to boot)
- i watch an owner who is so overly involved and so egotistical that he cannot distance himself from the team.
- i see another abysmal finish to this season and another group of great players that'll be one year closer to retirement (ware, romo, witten) with only one playoff win.
- i see an old, feeble owner clutching onto 20 year old success that came from a man he ran off with the same bullshit that's being done now.

Your typical team would fire the gm and the coach. Period. A gm acts almost as a fuse: If the fuse blows up, pull that fucker and replace it. This team can't because jerry is too busy main-lining viagra and masturbating to a picture of himself in his stadium. I'm seriously disgusted with the cowboys. I have no other way to describe it.

Well quit showing up to games and buying the gear. All of Dallas says the same crap yet keeps supporting Jerry Jones' fantasy football team. For me I've given up. I watch for the laughs and the Cowboys are the best sports soap opera going. As far as football though I enjoy watching real teams play.

Jerry Jones is both the owner and general manager of the Dallas Cowboys. The former says he'd have fired the latter if he weren't both.

In an interview that aired before Sunday Night Football, Bob Costas asked Jones whether he'd have fired himself as general manager following his team's years of struggling:

"Well, I think so, because he was there to dismiss. I've always worked for myself and you can't do that. You basically have to straighten that guy out in the mirror when you work for yourself. But certainly, if I'd had the discretion, I've done it with coaches and certainly I would have changed a general manager."
Once you make it through that self-referential haze of circular logic, you realize Jones the owner is full of it. Why couldn't he fire yourself. Just because it wouldn't involve a conversation in front of a mirror, a pink slip and severance pay, doesn't mean he couldn't wave the white flag and bring in another person to take over as GM. His definition is all semantics. Jones doesn't fire himself because he thinks he's the best man for the job.

The bigger news would have been if Jones was living in a world of delusion in which he thought one playoff win in 16 years was acceptable. Unless he wants late-night texts from an angry Dave Campo, he can't say that.

Instead, Jones deflected the question, gave an answer that sounded like it meant something and then pondered what Jones the general manager would think about Jones the owner having a grown man clean his glasses.

Ive given up even giving a shit about them. I have plenty of other teams to route for each week, the Cowboys aren't even on my radar for giving a shit anymore... That stopped about 2-3 years ago. Now I route for everyone to beat them every week, it's much more fun and self fulfilling knowing that JJ is frustrated somewhere. Maybe eventually he will have a heart attack or something and the family will sell the damn team.

I personally think Romo is very much so an above-level QB. He's stomping all over Aikman's numbers. Do I think he makes the best decisions at all times? Nope. But neither does that mouth-breather Eli Manning and he's managed 2 Superbowl wins. Eli has also had both a good coach and OC (calling productive plays as opposed to Garrett) & a great O-line... an extra half-second of time to execute a well-designed play is an eternity.
