He had Tommy John surgery in late 2011, it takes a while to come back from that. If nothing else he can sit around the office with Nolan and Greg Maddux.

It's not like he's going to cost $50 million again. You can probably get him for about what we paid Manny. It's not going to be much of a gamble and the Japanese media would go crazy.
