Probably not, but had the talent to win enough that he was sort f beyond reproach by management. I think the World Series exposed him as "lacking"; at least it did in my eyes.

A side-note: I noticed that the Angels sat Hambone Sunday, and Mike Sciosca (their manager) answered some questions from the press as to what to do about his hitting .213 and non-productive numbers. Sounds like he will keep dropping in the batting order until (if ever) he produces.
