Against a 7-10 pitcher the Yankees paid $20 million to get rid of. I'm glad to see some offense but losing 3 series in a row this time of year doesn't inspire me much.

You get to the world series by being on fire in September and riding it through the playoffs. With this team playing like it is I'm not sure we'll get the wild card spot, Tampa isn't that far out and we play them 4 games at home next week. Nevermind what Sherzer and Verlander or the Bosox staff would do.

I hope they turn it around but it's going to take one hell of a speech from Wash.

This! The two years we went to the WS we manufactured runs. Running the bases, successful hit and run, and we also worked the pitch count, running up the opposing pitchers pitch total. We aren't doing those things. Everyone looks like they are swinging for the fences every at bat. You can't be successful relying on home runs.

His average is .281 for the season, .284 career, so he's batting about as good as he ever has.

There has never been any question about his bat or his game calling, it's the defense that has question marks. He produces more runs than he costs us though.

We've been having trouble with nearly everyone except Houston as of late it seems. Beltre has been struggling at the plate a lot lately and that's hurt us greatly since he has had a chance to drive in multiple runs and has not been able to deliver.
