Moreland has more HR's and RBI's, even hitting .250, and he's a shit-ton cheaper.

Moreland is making $500k this year, with arbitration next year. Consider Hambone is hitting 30 points lower with the same production...for $17 million.

It's not a done deal yet, the Sox wanted Perez for him last month. If they just outright dump his salary then it's a decent pickup. Expensive but he is a veteran bat and gets along with AJ. He should get some help from the field here as well.

Well actually we are tied with the A's according to the MLB website. But, since we will be playing the worst team in baseball can we sweep them? Unlike last time we played them.
