Kinsler is tied up for good, Cruz is going to be too old, too inconsistent and want too much money.

Greinke was bullshit, and you know it. He's not worth Sabbathia money. Hamilton going is fine. Not pursuing Upton more aggressively was a mistake, if you ask me.

As much as you may not want to see it, the Rangers are in a minor rebuilding stage right now, or a restructuring at the least. I don't understand why everyone is being so short-sighted all of the sudden. I get that you want to win it all every year because people apparently have it in their heads that the Rangers will be contenders year in and year out now that they've been contenders for three years, but that's not how they got to this point and that's not how they're going to maintain their position as a competitive franchise.

I'd much rather have an idle year in an overpriced market with mediocre players (plus Hamilton, who is his own mess) so they the Rangers can make competitive moves in an overpriced market with good players in future.

Check and check. We were told the same things about the Angels last year, and they didn't live up to expectations. Hell, without the breakout of Trout, they would have been shittacular. They'll be good, but they're not going to run the table. Throw in two injury prone superstars and they'll be a perfectly human team.

Still don't get why dumb moves are better than no moves at all.
