Nice win against Kidd and Chandler on Wednesday night, 1-1 now against them this year. Lakers up next tomorrow night at AAC.

That was a great game Wednesday night, probably the best effort I've seen out of the Mavs this season. Took my youngest nephew to the game and he really enjoyed it, probably the one game I've seen him enjoy the most (and it helped that they one). We both went into the game thinking the Mavs were going to lose but they pulled it off.

If they can keep this effort up consistently I think they will do good this season and will only get better. But consistently is always the problem. The Mavs put up a good all around effort and if they can get Roddy B to play up to our expectations we can survive the Playoffs and maybe go at least a couple of rounds. Let's hope they can. GO MAVS!

Dirk has me kind of worried. I don't know if he is going to be the same when he gets back. However, the team has played far better than I expected them to without him in the line-up.

Overall shooting tonight a miserable .346 following a putrid 4th quarter .316. Rofl!

The Mavs are just a really really bad team right now. They can't rebound,play defense, and lack any really consistent scoring options. They also now have another 38 year old point guard running the team. Plus, there really playing the softest part of their schedule right now. As they are constructed, i don't see them making the playoffs.

Yeah, it could get ugly here in a couple weeks. From Dec 20 to Jan 2 their schedule looks like this:
vs Miami
@ Memphis
@ SA Spurs
@ OKC
vs Denver
vs SA Spurs
@ Washington
@ Miami

At this point, only Denver and Washington look winnable. I hope they show some heart and steal a game somewhere. Sad to say, but I think I'd be satisfied with 3-5 through that stretch.

The only saving grace i can think of is they are treading water thru the easiest part of their schedule without Dirk. If they can manage to stay around the .500 mark till his return maybe they can make a late push for the playoffs.
