Who would you want to replace him? The only coach i'd honestly take over Stoops is Saban and that's it.

I'm not saying Stoops is the 2nd best coach in College football because he isnt, but his demeanor is like no other.

I think a lot of fans wish the promise made to Muschamp that he'd take over, was actually followed through on, rather than losing him to Florida.

There are a lot of coaches out there, and at 5+ million/yr, you can pretty much have your pick of the litter.

I wouldn't be surprised if Arkansas doesn't shell out 5.5+ million/yr for John Gruden next season.

You and Marty both said that about Arkansas this past off season, and it didn't happen. I don't think Gruden wants a college job, or he'd have taken one.

If you're Texas, you have to at least talk to Saban even though he won't take it. I like Charlie Strong, Chris Peterson or maybe Paul Rhodes. If its a coordinator my homer choice is Applewhite, then there's Kirby Smart

You might be surprised, Jerry sponsored and set up a meeting with Gruden and Arkansas AD Jeff Long during Monday Night Football when the Cowboys played the Bears. They evidently had the meeting in Jerry's office at the stadium.

Arkansas isn't hiring anyone mid season, and I doubt they'd be able to convince Gruden to drop his Monday Night Football gig mid season as well. Gruden's biggest gripe about going to a college is and always has been, he doesn't want to have to recruit players. So if Arkansas can come with with a way to keep him out of the recruiting process other than some home visits, etc, and pay him 6 million a year. I think he might go for it.

This was a pretty funny fake facebook deal concerning the coaching gig at Arkansas.

My feelings on Mack are this: He cleaned the staff house a couple of years ago, and started over. He recruits the top talent in the country (not my words, but sports writers'), and still has done nothing to speak of with these changes. At some point, there has to be consequences.

Should be your words, each kid also had offers from other top schools. Saying they're top talent coming out of highschool isn't saying anything wrong cause they are. The problem seems to be they're not getting coached up once they get here.

One Senior has been rumored to say that he had more coaching in 4yrs of highschool than he has at Texas. Pathetic

Sometimes I'm not considered "credible", hence the remark about pro writers.

Brown has to go or at least replace Dodd as AD. You are top 5 in recruiting every year and you never develop your players. Most of the former players that end up going to the NFL say they baby the superstars, don't have to go to class, take it easy during practice, etc. I think someone on here said they didn't even do full contact practices this fall.

You have the talent coming in for how many years now and nothing to show for it. If he cannot develop players he is gone.
