no pissing contest bro your probably thinking of his younger brother Omar who fought and LOST 2 fights against jorge "maromero" paez jr it was not Julio jr hell it even says in the 24/7 show he had NO amatuer fights! heres the problem people here in the USA see a fighter get beat a couple of times and then their 'washed up" look at all the great MUAY THAI fighters records,MMA fighters records,K1 fighters ALL have many losses on their records they lose and go back and learn from it or hell maybe they just had a off night but bounce back to become champions again this use to happen back in the older days of boxing but now adays what we see is fighters being promoted for the big payday but opponents "chosen" carefully along the way,what really kills me is when the so-called experts justify early fight stoppages(BOXING) as "good stoppages" before a "sinceless beating" happens for the "safety" of the fighter? come on really? these guys are PAID TO FIGHT let them earn their damn checks! and its funny to hear about SAFETY in boxing and then you can click to MMA fights where ALL blows(except low blows and biting) are a go,hitting with small gloves kicking,kneeing,and elbowing the shit out of your opponent is all fair game! now my point is boxing(although a sport i grew up loving) is sissy shit compared to MMA fighting so those boxing experts calling for safety is really quite emabarassing dont you guys think?

Canelo is a bull relentless in offense and knows NO fear(as of yet lol) and would beat up the face and body of the war torn but battle tested rican in cotto who is a warrior himself and can box at times but would surely try to engage in a slugfest with the young mexican carrot top rhino and his face will fall apart and he will get broke down round by round but it would be a great fight and i have been wrong before

the pacman vs marquez fight 4 oh jesus christ why why why this shit just puts yet another NAIL in the coffen for boxing i will not watch it if its PPV and if it is please everybody dont buy this bullshit we can all watch it for free the next week!

Boxing has a science to it, I can agree with you that MMA is more brutal but it really is apples to oranges. I grew up on morales, Marquez, & Barrera so I was all about the warriors but over the years I have learned to like a floyd/Broner type style. Also I think that most stoppages are justifiable, what’s the point of letting the fight continue when the opponent is not able to defend there self’s no more?. I’m sure in the future a lot of MMA fighters wish or will wish a referee had stopped one of there fights early. I’m sure Margarito wish his fight against Pac had been stopped, just look how he turned out. Chavez son even killed a opponent, its like Pac said its a sport, not a war to the death.

I still think Cotto beats Canelo, sure he is not in his prime but he is not a old man yet. Experience will win him this fight, cotto is to smart to stand and exchange with Canelo. He will come in & out winning the fight on points. Canelo has horrible foot work, has yet to face a p4p 154lb fighter (which I have no idea why he even has a belt @ 154) & keeps dragging welter weights up in weight to defend his paper belt. I heard Midana is the next opponent for Canelo, Common man Midana was fighting @ 140 like a year ago , has only had 2 fights at welter & now is a contender for the 154 title? Bs man. No wonder Nacho & Marquez hate Canelo.

of course it does its the "sweet science" but like i said im not talking about stoppages where guys just wont go down and have taken beatings round after round im talking about the "marqee" fighter throwing 5 punches in a row and they stop it! LOL ok enough of this p4p crap you mean "world class" opponent, seeing that you know about boxing? then of course you know as an up and coming fighter its only confidence issue especially up until they get a championship then its about big fights and styles makes fights Cotto is on the smallish side for a 154lber himself, hes a great champion dont get me wrong bro but hes a champion that knows what defeat taste like and being stopped twice at that! it will be a great fight nonetheless you got cotto ok cool ill take canelo its all good it would be a fight worth watching for sure!!!! and notable fights for canelo are...

Mosley UD12 mosley is a legendary fighter who still has skills and is always in great condition yes past his prime but still even at 40 a world class opponent
Kermit cintron TKO 5 a former power punching champion who had recently beat angulo who was a young hyped prospect
Alfonso Gomez TKO 6 tough rugged world class trial horse
Carlos bladomir KO6 another tough former champ
Jose Cotto TKO 9 maybe lil' bro will want to avenge this one

As a mexican also from Jalisco, there is nothing more that I would wish for. I would love to see Canelo KO cotto. But If I had to put money on it , my money would be on cotto. Canelo is great and Im sure he has a future, but honestly who has he beat thats even near cotto's level. Canelo has been fighting b+ blown up welterweights. Its not canelos fault because he would fight any one its Golden boy protecting one of there investments. Jose Cotto wobbled Canelo & he is probably a C+ fighter lol. I saw it happening to chavez & its no diffrent then Canelo. Canelo is not proven yet.

Suliman bends his own rules & allows him to face 147lb fighters who are not even ranked in the 154lb pound division. Again Im not saying Canelo sucks, im a fan but I have yet to see him fight a worth opponet. P4P is just unofficial rankings from the so called top experts the WBC and suiliman has nothing to do with it whatsoever all these "extra" titles ie. super,diamond silver is just BS ways to charge more money for fights thats it it means nothing but the term P4P was used to compare all fighters if they were all the same weight and size in theory to whom would be the best? they way you are using it suggest what "world class" meaning fighters top 10 ranked or has fought or inline to fight for a world title either way its been conversing with a REAL fellow boxing enthusiast and not a MMA fight fan who token watches boxing and then bashes away!

i dont see that fight happening early next yr since Cotto is fighting in December... but the longer it takes to happen the more I like Canelo winning the fight. Cotto although still a great fighter, I think his best days are behind him and Alvarez is still perfecting his craft.
