I'd like to see hockey roll into when there is a bit of a lull (sp?) with other sports.

Yes and no. It is a good sign they made that much of a concession and put the pressure on the players. (least I called the 50/50) now it will be onto what hockey revenue is and cutting down contract lengths after some of the biggest hawks in this fight signed players to the same type they are trying to remove.
Please Hockey Gods let them play....

I think it maybe time to write off the season...I won't post it all but...
NHL Players' Association executive director Donald Fehr said Wednesday that the league is unwilling to meet in advance of a deadline to complete e new collective bargaining agreement in time for an 82-game regular season.

...for the record, I find it annoying that this happens and can't get resolved in a timely manner and I"m a decent hockey fan. Meaning, I will watch next year but will have no idea of what is going to happen in season. As a fan that alone is annoying. I can see another large drop of the fan base in DFW and I cannot blame them.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

Yeah I doubt a season happens also. The fans are the only losers. The players are greedy spoiled children and for most of the owners these teams are nothing compared to their real financial successes.
Personally, open the league to players that want to play the game regardless of income.

I agree on the above generally speaking. I liked it the year the NFL did it back in the early 90s I think. Of course, that year the Skins won the super bowl...but still. There was football to watch and some players got their one and only chance.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

The longer this goes on, the more pissed off I get at the NHL in general (all sides). Really thinking about just supporting the local semi-pro/pro teams and being done with it.
Probably actually get occasional player interaction with the fans from those folks too. Which my kids will think is cool as hell.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.
