Fox sports was carrying the Texas Stars games a while back. Maybe they'll pick it up again.

Anyone got any updates? I can't find any news to speak of about it really.

Still talking, but not about finances which is the biggest key for the lockout. Everyone still fleeing overseas or playing minors.

Figuring out the split of revenue is not that hard look for 50/50 or so.

What is hard is what is the definition of hockey revenue. In a nutshell the NHL needs revenue sharing between clubs and the big owners who are the hard liners want that money to come from savings on this upcomming deal. They got pretty much everything they wanted from the players last time and now they want more. Yet at the same time they are throwing out 10-12 year contracts that are insane knowing a lockout was likely. I am way more on the players side this time. I did read an article that what the owners want is something like 8 games out of an 82 game season in cuts percentage wise. If they don't play this year I will self impose a couple year an on me going to live games.

I am sick of it all and just want to see hockey.

This is what I'm seeing, so it's not looking very promising.

At least ESPN is showing some KHL games. Not the same but a bit of a fix. Hell if the NHL would allow advertisements on the sweaters like the EPL it would make up the difference in what they are fighting over.

I am not a fan of looking like playing billboards but money is money.

At this point, whatever bumps the TV budget and gets hockey going consistently. It's a damned shame.

Fire them all and have open tryouts to all the amateur hockey players. I am sure there are still some people who love the sports and not just the paycheck.

I dug it when the NFL did that back in the 90s. Although, the players probably due they deserve compensation too - not just the owners/NHL.

LOL. I actually had some family come in to town a few years ago from Mississippi and they asked me that same thing, and were serious. I took them to a Stars game and they loved it.

NHL put out a 50/50 offer if the PA agrees to start the season by Nov. 2 and have the full 82 game season.

It's a start. Too many other issues like 5 year max contract length will stall it.

Pretty much calls the PAs bluff though.
