fantasy tips for the week of 9/4/12?

should i start Vick @ QB in philly vs Cleveland? OR Locker in Tenn vs. the Pats

should i start Eli @ QB in Giants vs Dallas? OR Rodgers in GB vs SF? leaning towards Eli. i think he will have a big game against Dallas.

You first choice is between Vick and Locker? Were you asleep during the draft? Both are a gamble, for obvious reasons. Vick has the proven potential to get big points, if he can stay in the game and not get rattled by big hits. Locker has the proven potential to get lucky and have a breakout game against a very suspect Patriots secondary. Most will say Vick I'm sure.

As much I despise giving Dallas any credit, their secondary is much better than that of the 49ers, IMO. Not only that but Rodgers has all his weapons from last, plus some, and also has some O-line improvements that should give him even more time to pick apart the defenses. Rodgers would be my clear choice here. That said, I expect Manning to have a decent fantasy points game, just not as big as what Rodgers should compile.

Joe Haden is going to be suspended in week 1 so Vick is the right start there, and I would go with Rodgers in the other game

My opinions....barring injuries (which can happen to anyone any time), Vick has a much higher potential for points. If I had to guess....40% higher. Not to mention Vick plays against the far weaker Cleveland D.

Locker has far less of a chance for points from the get go. Not to mention he's up against a tougher D by comparison.



As for Rodgers/Manning....I'd roll with Rodgers 100%. If I were to choose Eli in this situation it would be based off the chance he'd do better against a worse defense. But to me, despite SF's rude D, Rodgers has too much potential to ignore out of the gate.

Vick and Rodgers

Vick is always better at the start of the season, before the injuries set in. I would get what you can out of him before he's too banged up. Plus Locker is going to have some growing pains early.

Eli may do good (I hope not), but Rodgers is about as dependable as they come. I wouldn't take Rodgers out for anyone, unless you somehow had Brees as well. Eli is usually an above average FFL QB, but Rodgers is a fantasy stud.

What is everyone's thoughts on Adrian Peterson for week 1? I have him in 2 of my leagues. So far the word through the media and team has been that he'll be a game time decision, and even if he does plays they really talking up that they'll only be giving him limited carries. My other options are ....

I wouldn't start Peterson, he hasn't played any preseason and I think the Vikings are going to ease his return and limit his carries early in the season.
