So much money to be lost. Yes I think they'll get a deal done. Even if they don't the players union will just disband and force the owners to make deals with individual players. The American Needle ruling prevents owners from acting in collusion with each other. Past cases with the Union have gone against the owners as well.
I think the onus falls on the owners to get things done, so I think it will.
My question is whether or not they really will have an 18 game season. The union came out in support of it but it is very clear that the players themselves don't like it at all. I wonder why the Union is good with it?Last edited by Sgt Beavis; 12-28-2010, 01:54 PM.

I can't wait for a fall without pro football. A summer full of speculation and over analysis by ESPN will make Sportscenter unwatchable, but it's already almost unwatchable as it is.
A double-whammy with lockouts in the NBA and NFL would be incredible, but I won't hold my breath.

lockouts are bad for everyone. fans cause they dont have the nfl to watch or go see. owners cause they lose money for not having home games. players cause they dont get paid. you want an example of what could happen to the nfl if they lockout, go look at the NHL and the MLB after their lockoutLos Angeles Rams 11-5
Last Game - Loss vs. San Fransisco
Up Next - vs. Atlanta

If Jerry Jones is preparing for a lockout, there will be a lockout. Every other owner in the NFL falls in line with Jones when it comes to things like this. His flat out refusal over profit sharing is a major part of why they are where they are now. And I have to say, I don't blame him. Why should he have to support all the shit markets that can't support a professional team? Move the teams to a market that can, and will support a pro team. Failure is failure, and it's time for teams like the Jags to admit defeat.
Fun fact of the day. Dallas Cowboys apparel accounts for TWENTY FIVE percent of all NFL apparel sales.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

The baseball lockout fucked MLB as well, and I don't know if they have recovered fully yet either.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.
