The whole thing is just disappointing.

Just start at the top... Fuck the USADA.

“There comes a point in every man’s life when he has to say, ‘Enough is enough.’ For me, that time is now…Today I turn the page. I will no longer address this issue, regardless of the circumstances.”
If I thought for one moment that by participating in USADA’s process, I could confront these allegations in a fair setting and – once and for all – put these charges to rest, I would jump at the chance. But I refuse to participate in a process that is so one-sided and unfair. Regardless of what Travis Tygart says, there is zero physical evidence to support his outlandish and heinous claims. The only physical evidence here is the hundreds of controls I have passed with flying colors. I made myself available around the clock and around the world. In-competition. Out of competition. Blood. Urine. Whatever they asked for I provided. What is the point of all this testing if, in the end, USADA will not stand by it?
    Full statement here ---> http://www.adventure-journal.com/ful...ong-statement/

It's pretty evident that the real issue are USADA trying to muscle their way into regulating sport. They saw an easy in in prosecuting an old, nonsense case against Armstrong.

USADA have an 8 year statue of limitations yet they are pursuing chages 17 years old against him?

UCI and USA Cycling have both said that USADA does not have jurisdiction in this case.

UCI has stated that any bans, stripping of titles, etc by USADA are made without proper authority and that under no circumstances should anyone participate in USADA's improper proceedings.

USADA has said that there should be a single set of rules applicable to all... they just wont rest until it's THEIR set of rules that everyone bends to. They refuse to respect the worldwide governance of UCI.

So Hincapie, Vande Velde, Zabriskie, Landis, Hamilton, et al are willing to tesitfy... but do you think that is because they have an axe to grind with the man they helped push to those titles? Or because they suddenly, after a decade, had a change of heart? Or do you maybe think that USADA has plans for them also but has arranged up to a 75% reduction in "sentencing" for anyone who provides "substantial assistance" in doping cases.

Lastly, USADA is funded by taxpayers. I want no part of this witch hunt... give me my fucking money back.

Fuck them. I don't care if Lance doped. I really don't.

But I hate what they are doing to him and what they are doing to the sport in general.

      Such bullshit, on all levels.

America - the home of punishing hard work and extraordinary effort. The USADA needs to be flooded with calls, emails, bags of manure, whatever it takes to stop this.

Witch hunt. Innocent until proven guilty no longer has a place in our society.

How's this for some added bullshit (assuming you give credence to the USADA)

Alberto Contador tested positive for Clenbuterol at the 2010 TdF.

TESTED POSITIVE. Something Armstrong has NEVER done.

Contador was cleared to return to racing in 2011 with no loss of his tour results.

              Sounds fair to me

What I don't understand is why a tax-payer funded organization is going unchecked in something like this. Like has been said they have zero jurisdiction in the case; they have a fucking shifty past, present, and future; and want to strip one of the hardest working athletes in history of his most major accomplishments and defeats to adversity. I don't get why ANYONE who pays taxes is putting any credence into this and not just telling them to fuck off and get back to sniffing piss for drugs.

Sound like your talking about all police municipalities in the U.S.

Just another god damned bureaucracy that we all have to pay for. Someone's whole fucking career is the "US Anti Doping Agency". I'm not sure why that would be a federal government matter.
When the government pays, the government controls.

The US government already did an investigation on Lance Armstrong after it was pushed by the USADA. After 2 years the government dropped the investigation due to lack of evidence.

So what if he will be stripped of his titles. I saw him do it, its recorded in history and video and he's a badass in my opinion.

Lance also has another matter to consider in all of this. His livestrong foundation and everything that it stands for, the support it gives to cancer patients. A prolonged arbitration could do irreparable damage to the foundation. I would go out on a limb and say that his foundation is much more dear to his heart than his cycling accomplishments. Those accomplishments will never be forgotten.
