I keep opening this thread expecting a big FA signing for the Mavs and I keep getting slapped in the face.

Sounds like Cuban is one of those guys who once they get to the top of something (NBA Title) they get bored and want to try something else to conquer. I'm still amazed he was shooting a TV show and not courting Deron.

How do you not keep Kidd at least? This is just so hard to watch.

If this team is just Dirk I really think they should trade him.....it would be just to hard to watch him try to carry this team on his back by himself.

This is the biggest free agency meltdown I've ever witnessed! Seriously I'm not gonna be at all upset when dirk clashes with Cuban and demands a trade. It will happen sometime this next season!

I agree, Dirk needs to go somewhere with another shot... Chi town needs a good forward...

I know someone who could carry the Mavs but I'm not going there, just funny since everyone hates him in Dallas. Lol

Well, we know Dallas will suck next year. My plan is, since Cuban wanted to save his money, so will I. Mine will be going to the Dallas Stars, who seem to be trying in the draft and FA.

My God, do we even have enough players to get five guys on the court at one time? Maybe they'll do like that Eagles movie, and let regular people try out. We could all be Mavs for a year!!!

Be hard to see him go but he has been a great player and deserves to end his career with a team that is at least TRYING!!! The Mavs could get a crap load of draft picks for him to start from scratch.

                        TRADE DIRK!!

That's what I'm sayin. Trade him now while he can still produce, not in 3 years when he gets tired easier and starts missing some of the clutch shots.

Clippers? Boston with Jet? Chicago (prob not, they are already good),
Okc? (Thatd be hilarious for rest of nba)

Even though Cuban knows that would be the right thing to do, he won't let dirk go. It's crazy how we went from elite status to bottom of the barrel. I don't see us winning more than 20-25 games lol.
