I figured someone would have a thread dedicated to all of the offseason moves by the Mavs.... Today the party starts and we'll see if CAPSPACE reduction by the MBT will pay off!

Mavs already have quite a bit of $$$ to work with. Deron Williams is one of the main players they are focusing on. They are also going to meet with Eric Gordon as well.

It's kind of looking like D-Will is leaning towards Brooklyn. If we don't get him I don't have too much hope for next season. Not like I did when I thought he was coming here, and especially not as much as our D-Will + Howard pipe dream halfway through last season.

If Howard goes to Brooklyn, dwill will stay. Which means the mavs are screwed and going to have to pull off something crazy out of left field to have a shot. I wonder if bynum is on the trading block.

I'd like to see Roy Hibbert here in Dallas.

I would rather play with four players than have Bynum.

I was thinking of big guys that were available. Hebert would be nice but is he a free agent?

I think d-will will stay with brooklyn and that is my assumption based off 105.3 and what they were saying. If Orlando does it, Howard might be going up there as well and that is only if they give in to his trade request. Plus, if there was blockbuster news, and he was already set, an announcment would have been made. Honestly, I feel D. Will is probably waiting to see what Brooklyn does before he says anything, which means he would not mind staying...bad news for us. Plus he has already stated that his family is a bunch of muchers and he would rather not have to deal with that...they ALL live here in DFW...

Would love to see Howard go to the Lakers though, he has always said he did not want to play in LA because of Shaq...

Well, Joe Johnson is going to the Nets.

And apparently the Mavs are still angling for Howard...

UPDATE [10:23 p.m. ET]: Bucher reported later on Monday that the Nets trade for Joe Johnson does not mean they are out of the running for Dwight Howard. Bucher reported that both the Nets and Mavericks are in play for a trade for Howard.

That didn't take long: now being told not to count out DH still making his way to the Nets. So list now is: 1.(Nets) Mavs.

Not looking too good for us at the moment. You know, the one thing I think that holds Dallas back that no one talks about too often is the scene here. Everyone is pretty laid back which is nice but honestly, not a whole lot of fun here. I have been to several places in the US and almost all of them seem to have a night life and several family events to take part in, not just "visit".

I think Dallas needs to liven up a little and get some attractions in here so we can compete with the Miami's, NY's and West Coast...if you notice, that is where all of the stars are at and its not because they pay more...

We have all that, it just isn't in Dallas proper.

Yeah, I think Austin has a better rep for "social life" than Dallas....but that is just my opinion. I have lived here my whole life and love it but I have also been outside the "walls" of Dallas; we may have some of the things other places have to offer but we sure dont have the clientel (with class) and anyone with money around here is either old (not interested unless investing) or selling (trouble)...just my opinion.

Then again, maybe I need to get out more but besides strip clubs and bars...I am not sure what else we have to offer. Definitly cannot go to the beach nor do we have the diversity of NY...the youth of Miami...

                          D. Will already does not want to come here because of his muching family, not sure what else we would be able to offer him other than an aging team and some money...

Not trying to be negative, just looking for a good argument against my stance so I can belive as everyone else does....

I bet he goes there. He knows the Mavs don't want him.
