Almost had my first eagle yesterday on a par 5 at Trails of Frisco.... 280 yard drive, 170 yard 4 iron on green, 30' putt that missed. Made it for birdie... dammit.

Now that I go back, it was about a 300 yd drive, so suck it, bitches. I'm a 100+ player and don't have a fancy set of clubs, a PhD, or a massive dick. Note I said I "can" (just usually in the wrong direction), not that I "did" on that particular hole...

LOL! Unlike Dr. Dave I was being serious. I know you're just now getting into it. 280 is PLENTY off the tee as long as its in the fairway.

I typically hit 265-290 when I'm trying to be a bit more controlled. I've hit some longer, but I prefer the control.

I was serious about the Adams CB2s. Good looking irons, I had a set of the heads in some PX 6.5s but I take large divots and the wide soles meant I was bouncing into the ball on hard turf (i.e. Texas summers)
