They have to buy him out for 2.4 mill by June 29th. I am not sure what else he received at the beginning of the year.
You know, it is amazing how well this team has got along for the last 12 years without any significant contributions from draft picks. Dirk is the last guy the Mavs drafted that has really contributed IMO. Roddy has shown some things, but really, its amazing how well this team has stayed afloat via free agency. This deal might be the worst deal in 12 years, and I guess I am ok with that.

The 6-foot-5 Azubuike was signed as a free agent on March 23 and immediately assigned to the Legends. During his time in Frisco, he appeared in seven games and averaged 6.4 points and 3.4 rebounds in 12.9 minutes.
Azubuike played in nine games in 2009-10 before a catastrophic knee injury ended his season put his career in jeopardy. The Mavs are hoping he can regain the quickness that made him an intriguing young player with with the Warriors.
The hope was to let him get back in action with the Legends and give him a chance to be a contributor next season.
