NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and members of the NFL’s competition committee believed too many teams were enjoying an unfair competitive advantage by winning the overtime coin toss and proceeding to score without the coin-toss loser receiving at least one possession.
Goodell must have done really well on his Wonderlic Test. How hard is it to figure out that the "sudden death" OT rule was unfair to the coin toss losing team. I have always maintained that each team be guaranteed one possession each to try and score. After that one possession each, then they can go to sudden death.
