It's almost as if they don't feel like pulling away from the pack and want to keep it as close of a race as possible. A win last night would have put a nice lead ahead of the A's and made the playoffs almost a 100% certainty (not that I feel they won't get there in the first place). Young's defense was piss poor last night -- worse than it was at any time last season. Beltre should be back today, so hopefully they can put Young back in the DH position or 1B

I listened to the Yankees and A's game on the radio. I caught 10-13, loved every minute of it. Turn on the Rangers in the 8th hoping to see that we are going to put a game on the A's. Only to be disappointed. I don't think we are playing near the caliber of baseball we were at this time last year. The fundamental mistakes, the lack of producton at the plate, and it concerns me with the post season looming.
