Indeed, I care, very much. I love how he endorses the true fans, not just the cookie ladies but the long time Ranger fans who write him letters (yes, it does still exist). I'm talking about the senior citizens who haven't missed a game in 20, 30, 40 years. Nostalgia like that will never be replaced, especially by the recent influx of band wagon riding fans.

Nefty needing Tommy Johns, Colby out and who knows the future there ( free agent stuff). Dempster new trade. Roy not doing very well. Yorvit DFA. Soto traded for.

Ah... Best thing is, Rangers are still big time players. Seems like just a few years ago most Ranger fans would love this situation.

BTW. I have nothing against showing respect for fans. Old/ young/ former/ new. I have been a Ranger fan from first day I knew what baseball was.

The Cookie/ sweets/food reports every 3rd/4th inning was old. I know why so many people listen to the game on 103.3 and watch it with sound muted just to avoid Tag and others. Nadel rules.

You're not kidding. I bet your season started feeling really weird these past few days.

I think it's a good trade though. Villanueva has a big bat, but there wasn't anywhere for him in this organization given that the Rangers are already logjammed at the left infield positions anyway. Hendricks wasn't a top prospect anyway, so it doesn't seem like the Rangers gave up a ton. Probably gave up a good bit less here than they did for Lee in 2010.

It was pretty strange all season. I basically knew after the first week we had some serious issues. I'm very happy that we traded off the guys we did. Victorino has looked lazy all season, and really came across like he had no interest in playing out his last season in Philly. Pence has been awful in RF, and really struggling lately.
Watching last night it's like a weight was lifted off the team and they are just having fun. It's always nice when you can put up 8 run and shut out the Nationals.

Rangers are the only team to break through against him this year. He's 14-1. I think in the start earlier in the year, the Rangers tagged him for 9 runs. His ERA is 2.2x right now. Just imagine if you took out those 8 runs. Calculated it...1.70 ERA.

Nice...Darvish usually has trouble in the first inning...but he just struck out the side. Maybe that's a great omen for tonight.
