  • I like seeing Moreland back in the line-up. He may struggle for a little while, and that's to be expected.

Fine by me if he does. Young has been turning it around offensively and actually looks very comfortable defensively there, but Moreland is the better long term solution. I think Young will hit better if he's DHing anyway.

        • Apparently I said one too many times that the offense was the issue and not pitching.

          • I love warsh's keen ability to know exactly when to make a pitching change.

              • Feels like I'm watching Oswalt pitching last season. I'm eating crow today, I fully expected him to land on the dl when I heard he had a stiff back last week.
RAJ's best move as a gm was not picking up his option.

                • Daniels should be texting any second now asking if Lee is still on the table...

                  • We've now gone from "All the pitching in the world couldn't win these games" to "It'd take all of the offense in the world to win this game".

Hopefully the offense can put a through runs through in the rest of this game and get some offensive momentum going for the rest of the series.

That ball went up in the air and he hit the speed dial.

That exact what I was saying to myself "I bet that $85mill doesn't seem so bad for three years now".. Oswalt is DL bound man, they better make a move.
Maybe it'll be bullpen help and stretching Ogando and putting Feldman in the rotation. Does that make you fell better about your chances at another WS trip?

I was never big on the Oswalt move to begin with. I'll look through this thread real quick for proof of that, but I didn't really get it and don't think it made sense until Feliz went down (which was a happy coincidence).

I don't think that stretching Ogando is the right move. Mstng86 had a moment of clarity in pointing out that Ogando's stuff hasn't been good this year, although I'll qualify that by saying that he hasn't had much regular work to get to iron out those kinks. Feldman needs to stay in the rotation as well as he's been pitching for these last 5 starts.

Ogando's other problem is that he's a one pitch guy. When his fastball is on, he's on. When it's not perfect, his day is done. Perfectly suited for an inning of relief, not so much for the high pressure situations that the playoffs present.

Rangers are getting their ass handed to them, but the most important person in the lineup could be coming out of that swoon. Hambone 3/3 tonight. That could be big. Real big!

                              • Another good sign from Nelly there. That ball went a long way.

Not going to panic. Too many good offensive signals to take away from this game, especially from Hamilton.
