yeah, he had a 4 hit game going into the break and then last nights game. Maybe dropping him in the order has taken some pressure off. Either way - if he's coming out of a slump - it'll help this offense dramatically.

I'm not looking to make excuses here, but Ranger's hit a buzz-saw last night in Fernandez. He had his stuff working, and I'm not sure anyone could have hit him.
Darvish picked a good game (after a 12 day lay-off) to not be sharp. Had he given up only 1 run, it would have still been a loss.

You're not making any excuses. Yes, Darvish had an off night, but being shut out by one of the best arms in the game is going to happen in a sport where a 30% success rate is considered top-tier.
