What is it about the A's that gives the Rangers such a tough time? Hell the Mariners too.

Wierd as it sounds I would rather them have a tough time again those 2 teams than the Yankees, Rays, Angels etc. At least we wont be playing them in the postseason

Losing to division rivals kind of presents an issue for making it to the playoffs if you struggle against them enough.

Generally yeah, except the Rangers have managed to stay 20 games over.500 and have a 6 game lead in the division.

A lead that was built entirely in the first month of the season and was nearly whittled away by bad losses to bad teams within their own division until they picked up the pace of play in the last few weeks.

Somehow I think they will be OK, and more than likely end up over .500 within the division as well

they just announced pre-game the rangers are trying to trade for either hammels or greinke(sp). hammels would be an awesome addition especially if they could get him for more than just this season...

Hamels would be awesome, cant imagine what that would cost. I am guessing at least either Profar or Olt.

Trading Profar would be a mistake. Holding onto Hamels after this year would be difficult given his absurd contract expectations as well.
