Moreland made some damn good defensive plays last night that were a little overshadowed due to his 'slammer. If he can sustain his level of play, it will be hard to bench him. It's been a long time since Texas had a 1st baseman that hit .285 with power and a great glove.

I was coming here to post after I finished looking over Chris Davis' stats and Moreland's and was comparing plate appearances per homer and rbi. Davis is right at 20 and Moreland is at 17 in the HR category. Then I projected out Moreland's production over 600 ABs. It comes out to 35 HR and 101 RBI. I don't think of Moreland as a power guy, but he's certainly got it and I would take those projected numbers and a .285 avg out of a 1B guy any day. I warmed up to Moreland when he did well in the playoffs a couple years ago, but I'm definitely becoming a bigger fan of his.

Why is Tanner Scheppers still on this team? I haven't followed him too closely, but I don't remember a time where he hasn't gotten in deep shit and have to have someone else bail him out, or gives up runs. Granted, we had plenty to allow yesterday, but Christ Almighty. How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

Expect Bobby V to be next.
