It started flipping around July 20th.. They would verbally suck him off if he came back now, the phillies could use the offense offer a pitcher with an inflated contract

            Damn right they would.

Although, to be honest, pitching is looking less and less like a paramount issue for the Rangers.

              • I'm lmao at all the Angel fans on ESPN commenting on how unstoppable their rotation will be come playoff time. Obviously, they have never seen Wilson pitch in the postseason. For that matter, Greinke stunk it up last year for the Brewers. Not making that trade was the best thing the Rangers did. Its very doubtful Greinke would resign here or even be a huge difference maker for the Rangers. Then you would get to watch Olt or Profar for the next 5 or so years in Milwaukee.

I'm all for bringing Cliff Lee back but only if the Phillies eat some of his contract.

The biggest upside to having Grienke in that rotation would be to start game 1 following the wild card game.

It would be awesome to see the Rangers destroy him this weekend (I think he is starting Sunday). Maybe that would shut up a few of those Angels fans.

He's been surprisingly solid for several outings in a row now, included that 7 inning gem last week.

                      • Yeah, good thing since they said feliz felt "tightness" today.

                          • Feldman started 0-6 and is now 5-6, with the last 2 outings being solid - especially tonight. He only had thrown 88 pitches after 8 innings. I was really hoping Warsh would let him finish. If Feldman can return to the form he had in 2009, that would be better than any trade the rangers could have made.

That's still a big IF. Don't get me wrong, I think his success as of late has been great, but there's still a lot left in this season and the playoffs are another story entirely. If he keeps pitching exactly like this then you're right, but I think he'll come back to earth somewhat at some point. Still a valuable asset, but he's not going to replace Colby Lewis in a playoff situation, IMO.

Still think the offense is the issue right now. All the pitching in the world can't score runs for you. 13 runners left on base tonight. Bases loaded twice with no runs to show for it, runners on 1st and 3rd with one out with the top of the order upa nd nothing to show for it. 1 RBI. 0-10 with RISP. It's pitiful.

                              • Ah, I saw it before the edit. 13 LOB is bad, but 25 is...well, impossible in an 8 1/2 inning game!
