Hamilton looked like he was atleast attempting to watch bad pitches last night. Had a double after a nice atbat, and then was able to execute on a sac fly. Two things he hasnt really been to do recently. Nellie keeps showing flashes and then reverts back, when he swings it looks like he is trying to take everything out of the park. He was the only starter without a hit last night, but he still pulled 2 walks.

I agree Young looks a lot closer to pulling out of it than Napoli. Nap might have 3 HR's in 3 games, but he also has had quite a few terrible atbats in his last 2 games.

It would be nice to see Moreland get a shot to be the everyday 1B when he gets back. And I dont know what Gentry has to do to get the CF position. The announcers last night said that Gentry hasnt had more than 50 AB's in one month yet while the starters are averaging over 100. Just thought that was kinda crazy considering how hot he has been.

Gentry needs to be starting, as far as I'm concerned. Murphy is my guy, but Gentry in CF and Hamilton in LF makes way more sense, regardless of who is pitching.

Murphy has been lost in the shuffle. I actually haven't seen him play in a while.

He's been playing almost every day.

Yeah, totally agree. I guess you could look at it as being a good problem to have. Murphy is probably a starter on quite a few teams, as well as Gentry.

I personally don't have anything against Cliff either.

                  1. How much are the Phillies going to want for Lee?
                  2. How much do we give up for Lee, or any of the aforementioned arms?
I'm actually hoping the Phillies deal Lee. There are several issues we can address with $25mill off the books next season.
I'm hoping the Rangers give up Olt, and someone with a decent bat.
Amaro isn't smart enough to pull off a trade that really makes sense in the long run.

                  • Maddux might be pitching instead of coaching. Damn. The bats better wake up. They're going to need 10 runs a game until some of those guys heal up.

You're not kidding. Aviles gifted him a way out of there.
