They've had problems with the dome in the past, but I think it has been 20+ without an accident. They normally have a crew go up and sweep the roof when it snows. Luckily none of the crew was on the roof sweeping the snow off when it happened. That would have been real messy.

yea thank goodness the nfl moved the game and cancelled it even before this happened. Thats something Ive never seen. It reminds me of when the Cowboys trainning facility collapsed.

i heard the biggest reason why this game was moved to a dome stadium was because the Giants only brought equipment for dome play. They didnt bring anything to play in the cold or snow cause they were expecting to play in a dome. I think Monday the Vikings Stadium facility is going to look at the damage and see if it can be repaired in time for next mondays game against the bears in Minnesota. They are getting roofing material from the old Pontiac Silverdome in Detriot where the Lions used to play until 2002. Also the Carrier Dome which Syracuse University uses. Here is some trivia that I got a laugh out of. This will be the first Monday Night game ever in Ford Field, and it wont even involve the Lions. The last monday night game in Detriot was in 2001 against the St. Louis Rams.

anybody notice in the video that it looks like someone hauling ass in one of those gator mules utv. The news keeps saying there was no one in there at the time of the roof falling in.

Metaphor for their season and/or Brett Favre's career/legacy? I'll take it!

TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis will be hosting the Bears/Vikings game this week. Home of the Golden Gopher's.

The stadium just couldn't take anymore Brett Favre drama. Clear cut case of a stadium commiting suicide.

Someone should have told it to cut with the grain, not against it.
