he had 13,000 overall yards. I wouldnt say he blew it. He missed a couple seasons in his prime over some stupid shit, but I wouldnt say he really blew it.

exactly, he had the makings to be one of the greats and blew it due to his weed addiction, then tried to turn it into a I have a personality problem and need it. I thought he was really good pre leaving the NFL to smoke pot.

At least he isn't on the other side of the spectrum and just plays for the money and fame, like 95% of them. Fuck it, if his heart isn't in it, then good for him. At least he retired on a good note.

So you think the doctors were lying when they diagnosed Williams with a personality disorder?

Heaven forbid someone not follow the exact path that the world expects them to and take a break to figure their own shit out inside their head. I, for one, respect the hell out of him for giving the middle finger to everyone and the bullshit that surrounds the NFL to do what he felt he needed to.

He was a good player, when he was a team player. I dont think he ever left Texas, that place was party central and when he went to the NFL he actually had to work and could not party, well he did, but couldn't sustain the actual work.

Yeah, those people with social anxiety disorders LOVE to party!

I didnt witness it personally but from what I understand he was all over the place partying and smoking weed during his time at Texas, not that theres anything wrong with that, but I feel that was his excuse in the NFL to get away with smoking weed.

Don't think I've ever heard him make this excuse. Not even in the 30 for 30 documentary

Don't get me wrong, I believe RW was a very good college player and a decent RB in the NFL and it seemed like once he got his shit together he was a very good RB at Miami and for the Ravens.

His lack of having his shit together pales in comparison to most of the shit that plagues lots of the thugs in the NFL. Unfortunately for him, his struggles were personal and not residual gangbangerness, and he took the time to do what he needed to and was vilified for it. Should have gotten a DWI or in a fight at a club, the public seems to overlook that shit much more quickly.
