I've got $500 (quite seriously) that says Hamilton doesn't play more than 500 games in any 5 year contract he signs.

Only time will tell. If he does play that many games or close to it and performs at the level he has the last few years, then he's a bargain even at 15-17 mil per.

Hell, I have to agree. That's a sucker's bet. Of course I've always been skeptical and though he was soft. Maybe all those years of poisoning his body has caught up.

I think that's the big kicker here and that his body is about to start showing some serious wear.

Here's my concern: If you take out his MVP season (maybe an anomoly?) he averages 22 HR's and hits .290 the other 4. He turns 31 in May.
