The worst thing about championship games of any sort is that it ruins Sportscenter for 1-3 days immediately after because it's all they'll talk about. this is even worse in that it wasn't even a good game, yet all of the SEC nuthuggers are going to cite it as their badge of honor.

This doesn't go to say that Sportscenter doesn't suck all of the time these days, it just sucks worse after "big" games.

At least it was more fun to watch than the first time they played. I'm no fan of either team, but they were/are #1 and #2 and deserve to play. I'd say it's more of a reflection of college football this year than just those two teams. LSU's QB looked awful, but the defense really did the job for most of the game. Most of you guys are too young to know what college ball was like in the '60's and early '70's, but this game kind of reminded me of some of those.

I'm not. Defense is great to help you win the game, but without offense, it looks like LSU. And no one is gonna think they are #1 now.
