Pressure from his wife and sons. Time to do that grandpa gig and let the younger generation take over the business. If not, he will be like Al Davis and it will consume his life. Tough to do that when the hen is clucking all the damn time. I will still be a fan, but I have changed the last year or so, I don't let it get to me as much, I have to come to the conclusion that if they lose its not the end of all things and there are more important things to worry about. I have taken the Tony Romo approach, haha!

They may not have to. There is a decent chance that a healthy Peyton Manning will be a FA by March 8th.

Irsay just fired Polian as the GM and will probably fire the head coach pretty soon. IMO this is the end of the Manning era in Indy, but Manning still has several years of playing left in the tank IF he can get healthy.

We are in dire need of a new secondary. I really hope they pick up two CB's.

Romo fans across the world would be devastated if Jerry brought in a quarterback that had youth and talent. I mean really, let's look at the recent back up quarterbacks they've had on roster, John Kitna, Steven McGee, and Brad Johnson. Kitna did alright last year purely from a passing standpoint, but he has zero mobility and he's 39 years old. I don't expect he'll be back with the Cowboys for what would be his 15th year in the league.
They need to work on their defense more than they need to pick up a backup quarterback.

While that is true, if they had a better backup they might have won the Christmas Eve game against the Eagles when Romo got hurt early in the game and then last nights game would've just been for shits.

Wat? The Cowboys' Christmas Eve game had absolutely no bearing on making or missing the playoffs.

Romo is one of the few players that we DON'T need replaced. Except for maybe a guard and center, the offense is good to go. This should be a defensive draft, starting with CB. For the first time I've finally joined the "get rid of Newman" band wagon. It sucks to say because he used to be one of my favorite cowboys. Jenkins is good enough to stay a starter, and Scandrick is a good #3, but we need a new starter on Newman's side. That should be our first pick, with the 2nd and 3rd MLB and DE should be looked at. If not one of those then C or G.

that is totally ridiculous....he is fast becoming Al Davis' heir apparent.

                        stop posting.

But this will be a defensive draft... OLB/DB should be our first two picks imo.

Maybe he can take of the Cowboys since Jerry is retiring.

They do need to work on defense but if a decent QB comes up even in the first round I wouldnt be pissed if they grabbed him. Look what happened to the Colts. There is no excuse for putting all your eggs in one basket and not having a competetive backup QB. Putting a fire under Romo's ass wouldnt hurt either.

Lets trade Demacus Ware for a 1st rounder, 2nd rounder and a 3rd rounder to the Colts... It works in Madden !
