If they sign Prince, then the team will begin a downward spiral. There is no need for that guy. Sign Hamilton and then get Andrus, Feliz, and a few others signed long term. They have been to 2 straight world series without a guy like Prince, and they should have won this past one. No need to go spend the money on a guy like that now.

If Prince wants Pujols money (which he does) then stay away. If somehow they can get him under $20mil per year then do it.
The team is strong with or without him. The next priority should be to sign Nap to an extension and then sign Josh to one as well.
Andrus is great but the Rangers have what looks like a better shortstop (Jurickson Profar) moving up the ranks fast. I think the Rangers should wait on Elvis.

I agree that they should continue building the pitching staff. So pass on Fielder and Oswalt. Trade for King Felix. The Rangers have plenty to offer Seattle in exchange for one of the best pitchers in the game. Felix #1, Yu #2....pretty scary!

I don't think the Mariners are going to be trading anything to the Rangers after the Cliff Lee / Smoak trade. I don't see King Felix going anywhere other than to the Yankees next year.

Fielder is still on the table, Moreland is scheduled to start swinging again on Monday. If he's still hurting Scott Boras will be getting a phone call.
