  • ok so lets pick up drew brees, tom brady, aaron rodgers, or even big ben... probably the best qb's of the last 5 years... oh wait we cant because they have ginormous contracts!

guess what dallas still wont win a superbowl or even go deep until we have an o-line and new corners! just in case you didnt watch the coiwboys this year those positions lost 6 games

    lets play the blame game

    1. romo threw that interception intended for dez.. guess what dez was fucking hurt against the jets and had no biz being on the field

    2. detroit when you almost have a 20 pt lead in the second half.. your game should be the run and short screen passes

COACHING lost this season along with the other players listed...
again not romo's fault... sure he makes mistakes but he also makes great plays! in the beginning i wasnt sold on him.... now i think he looks like a young veteran qb
    "PSH!!!"

        You're talking about 1 season, THIS season. I'm talking about....since he's been a starter.

The team has sucked the entire time.

Jeff - as for your bullshit retarded drivel; if I wanted to fucking coach football, I would be coaching football. That's not the path I chose. I thoroughly wnjoy what i do for a living, and Im damn good at it. Not everyone that disagrees with me is a dumbass. It just so happens that you're a dumbass, and it has nothing to do with whether or not you agree with me about football.

And the people who have met thinks different. And if you ever met me so would you. I act retarded on here some times just to kill the time. If you ever want to meet up and have a few beers and talk about sports you would actually be surprised. But if not it's cool too.

                • Tony Romo

                  Last season:
                  QBR - 102.5 (4th)
                  TD - 31 (5th)
                  Int - 10 (23 QB's had more)
                  Yds - 4,184 (7th)
                  Pct - 66.3 (3rd)
                  Career:
                  QBR - 96.9 (2nd)
                  Yds per attempt - 8.1 (4th)
                  win % - .610 (6th among all active QBs with 20+ starts)
                  Holds Cowboys records for:
                  3+ TD games - 24
                  300+ Yd games/ career - 32
                  300+ Yd games/ season - 8
career interception percentage - 2.78% (lowest in Cowboy history)
                  Passing TDs/ season - 36
Passing Yds/ season (only DAL QB to throw for over 4,000 yds in a season, and he did it twice)
                  Completions/ season - 347
Consecutive games with a TD pass - 20
Pass TDs/ game - 5 (tied with Aikman)
                  Completion %/ game - 88.5%

In other words if you don't have Rodgers, Brady, P. Manning, or Brees, then Romo is the best you can get. P. Manning probably won't be the same when he comes back, and good luck getting the other three. Not only is Romo not a problem, he's one of the top 5 QB's in the entire league. The records he holds are over all-time greats like Aikman, White, and Staubach.

Now let's see some numbers of why he is soooo terrible that we need a new QB.

Now out of those QB's you just compared him too. What do they all have in common and Romo doesn't? And don't tell me all of them had great defenses either cause look what Manning, Brady this year, and Brees have to deal with.

Also his stats are high cause all the damn rule changes and how if you breath on a receiver you get called for pass interference. You can't hit the QB without getting roughing the passer penalty. So yes being a QB nowadays is pretty easy getting your stats up. Just think if Romo played in the 70's or 80's. Would his numbers still be as high?

They had good o-lines for a start. Manning and Brees only have one super bowl a piece, not exactly running away from Romo there. They don't just hand out super bowls because you're a good QB. You gotta earn em as a team, and a little luck doesn't hurt either. Romo is more than good enough to win a title, it just takes the right group of players at the right time. He is still pretty young for a starting QB, and has plenty of time to earn one.

Btw Dan Marino doesn't have a ring, maybe the Dolphins needed a new QB too.

                        • So are the Romo haters gunna post some numbers/facts to support why Romo is a bad QB? Or just keep bringing up that he doesn't have a ring yet. Although I'm predicting that anyone who really thinks Romo is bad, doesn't know enough about football to bring up a legitimate argument to support their opinion.

Romo is playing in the powder puff years of football. I ask a question to you that you obviously over looked. Do you think romo would put up the same numbers if he played in the 70's or 80's?

I actually had missed that first post. To answer you, no his stats probably wouldn't be as high. He would still have been a good QB though, mostly because of his ability to escape the rush. However you also have to realize that Brady and Brees don't play in that era either, yet we all agree about how good they are. Brady and Manning have been considered the best for a while, and they are both babied much more than anyone.
