As stated, Romo's not the problem. There are no better options available. Get a young guy in the draft this year, like GJ Kinne (shameless plug!), let him carry the clipboard for a couple of years while you address the other issues like O-line, D-backs, and coaching, and prepare to get this team to dynasty status again in a few years. As it sits right now, they have a better chance of winning with Romo than without.

Anybody that thinks Romo is the problem with the cowboys might as well hand over their man card because you just proved you don't know shit about football. The defense gives up 15 points in 3 minutes and its Romos fault? Romo leads a drive that couldve won the game but had the FG blocked and I'm sure that's Romo's fault as well. Retards.

G-Men, but I guess that was to tie?

There are a lot of problems with this Dallas team, but Romo isn't one of them. He has had a really good season behind a mediocre offensive line, early injuries, and a rushing game that was MIA for the first part of the season. Is a he a Brady, Rodgers, Brees... no but he is still a top ten QB.

He still forces some passes, but you will have that with any type of aggressive play.
His 2min / hurry up offense is a little lacking, but that also falls on other players and coaching.
There have also been some times that I question his football IQ, could just be his reliance on the sideline.

It's the typical Dallas fan BS, blame the QB and Coach. There needs to be some house cleaning, but no need to throw out the baby with the bathwater. I will say there are only 4 or so starters on D that I would care to see next year.

ha, that was the only thing in this thread that may be correct.

First off, that field goal would have tied the game sending it into overtime. And you're calling others retards? LMFAO! You sound like a typical badnwagon Cows fan.

The defense has a lot of issues, but if you think Romo is perfect and a badass you're off your rocker. Look at who they have played this year, look at the teams they beat and the teams they've lost to, and then tell me he's an awesome quarterback because he's had a tough challenge from good teams this year. Give me a break, they have a fucking scrub schedule. It's real easy to pad stats and "seem" like you're good when you play a bunch of shit teams. Let's recap, shall we?

                Jets - 8-5 Mediocre (Loss)
                49ers - 10-3 Solid (Win)
                Redskins - 4-9 Scrub (Win)
                Lions - 8-5 Scrub (Loss)
                Patriots - 10-3 Solid (Loss)
                Rams - 2-11 Scrub (Win)
                Eagles - 5-8 Scrub (Loss)
                Seahawks - 6-7 Scrub (Win)
                Bills - 5-8 Scrub (Win)
                Redskins - 4-9 Scrub (Win)
                Dolphins - 4-9 Scrub (Win)
                Cardinals - 6-7 Scrub (Loss)
                Giants - 7-6 Mediocre (Loss)
                Bucaneers - 4-10 Scrub (Win)
                Eagles - 5-8 Scrub
                Giants - 7-6 Mediocre

I agree the cowboys schedule hasn't been all that hard. Two good teams and that's about it.

How many of those losses could be blamed on Romo. One? Romo is a great QB. Cowboys defense is shit and the O-line has only recently made it possible to get a run game going.

Oh noes I forgot that the FG was for a tie vs a win. Who gave up 15 points in 3 minutes? Romo?

Two were directly his fault. Other than those two games, he's played lights out. Just look at the stats. Romo gets scrutinized more than ANY other QB in the league for no reason more than the team he plays for. He has big shoes to fill, and the Cowboys are the most widely criticized team in the NFL, and he fits under that umbrella by default.

If they're really "America's Team" then I'd say the show fits. No?

The media dubbed them "America's Team", and fanbases of other teams are so ass hurt about it they constantly use that as a basis for criticism. It's not Romo's, or even Jerry Jones' fault. Yes, JJ has propelled the brand in to hyperdrive, but with that, obviously, comes a lot of unwarranted criticism and preconceived notions that just aren't realistic.

A 14 year playoff win drought sounds like a notion that isn't realistic.

And that has been squashed, yet you still want to harp on it. Get some new material.

I've been impressed with Romo just about every time I watch a game. I'm a little tired of the "blame it on Romo" crowd. Early in his career he did some dumb stuff. The factors he controls are all being taken care of very well, and stats wise he compares if not exceeds the best QB's in the league. It's unfortunate but the team just isn't up to par with him in my opinion.
