Even with the Lakers missing a hundred straight FTs, Mavs still can't pull this damn game out.

It's really just about basketball. I personally am surprised, but maybe I don't know all the details. I suspect he will finish this year then leap. If he has a halfway good year, the offer will still be on the table next year. And he might have a ring, albeit it is difficult to repeat if you are not the Celtics, Lakers, or Jordan Bulls. I'd say it is worth the shot.

Mavs are playing an entertaining game against the Lakers tonight. Lakers popped us in the mouth early and had us down by 9 right off the bat. Mavs took the lead early in the 2nd and then promptly went down by 14. Then Dirk tied us up just before halftime. 2nd half should be just as entertaining.

I think the Spurs will be ok...still a contender and have old guys on the team...Pop did the right thing last night in resting Duncan and Parker. He took the pressure off their backs after not losing a game in over 2 weeks. As a Spur fan I want to play Mavs in the playoffs.

Yea, I just read that they benched their starters though. So maybe they figured it was time for rest. But as old as that group is, if they are playing heavy minutes, they won't make it through the playoffs.

Not really surprising. They were old when they were in the Finals. I am sure that team is going to be blown up before the trade deadline.

As for Boston, that ship has sailed. They look old and done. Rondo not being there last night didn't help them. I will take the win for the mavs though!

I'm hoping they make a move with him by the trade deadline, but not holding my breath...
