I think this time last year is when they were playing fucking terrible as well and as soon as the playoffs started...Boom...back into it. Not sure this team can do it like last years team but at least bring some effort and show you're still hungry.

We're now on the outside looking in. I don't see the fire and passion of last years' team. I know we made a few personnel changes, but even the guys that are still here don't seem to be playing like the playoffs are at stake here. 9 games to go.

Someone running the offense right now is a big problem since Kidd is out but I can't deny that Chandler is missed big time. He would have been worth whatever it was we needed to keep him here because the first time we had a good 5 in Dallas, we won a championship.

I liked Chandler, but I would not have wanted to lock him up long term like the Knicks did at $14M/yr. If it guaranteed another championship or two, the possibly. Still don't think he's worth that much $$ though. I mean, he's avg 11.2 pts, 9.8 reb, and 1.5 blocks a game. Yep, not worth that coin.

Our centers are doing a "decent" job, Chandler was in foul trouble more often than not. His production was good but we are on par this year, and actually we were rated a better defensive team than last year for a good part of the season even without Chandler. The problem this year is that they don't have a "back up". As in when one aspect of their game isnt working they have a go-to strategy/guy. This year when they suck they really suck, all around. Scoring is down, not to mention that this is an aging team so the back to back to backs kill them. There is no team cohesion and a lot of distractions regarding players' contracts, trade speculation, Lamar saga etc...

Agreed, they just don't have it this year. Losing Barea & Chandler just really put the hurt on them this year. I'm just ready for summer to get here and Deron Williams signs with them!!

Are you fucking retarded? We lost/let go of key pieces that helped us win a ring. We had one of the greatest playoff runs ever. Dirk also had the best single player performance since jordan. The guy was lights out.

Now we are tied with them at 9.5 games back each. With 11 games left Mavs can still pull off the 4th or 5th seed if they get their shit together
