I don't think Feliz will make a good starter. He's mostly successful from the bullpen because he can throw hard and the hitters don't have 2 or 3 at bats against him to adjust. I predict a lot of short starts with a lot of walks and runs.

Feliz has a great fastball and by extension a good changeup, he also has a cutter and a mediocre slow curve. It's a decent repertoire for a very young pitcher. Keep in mind he's 23 years old, it's rare for a pitcher to even get called up by that age, much less have two seasons under their belt as a closer and two visits to the World Series.

Ogando only has 3 pitches and is 5 years older, he makes it work. Feliz throws even harder and has more deception in his delivery, I think he's going to be pretty good as long as his arm holds out.

PLEASE do not pull a Joba with him and move him back and forth to the bullpen, committ him fully to the rotation and if it doesnt work out then back to the bullpen for good. Flip flopping does no one any good.

This was my first thought when they started talking about moving Feliz earlier this year. The Yank-mes broke Joba by pulling that shit with him and their(NYY) best bet is to trade him off so a good pitching coach can fix him.

would be pretty sweet if one of the brothers could manage our minor league pitchers and the other take the majors... i would think that would help progress them along quite nice.

While I'm not really a HUGE CJ fan, it would have been nice to have him stick around, if they could have gotten him at the right price.

Now that the Angels have inked Pujols, if CJ does go there, that certainly changes the dynamics of the division a bit. Feliz will have to excel as starter for us to win the division again.
