Dez Bryant: “It may sound crazy, I think we are unbeatable”
Posted by Michael David Smith on October 22, 2011, 9:43 AM EDT

Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant has a very high opinion of his team.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Bryant said this week that he does not believe the Cowboys can be defeated.

“As far as the team, I like our chances. I feel like, it may sound crazy, I think we are unbeatable,” Bryant said.

One small data point that would argue against Bryant’s claim is that the Cowboys have already been beaten three times this season. But Bryant says the Jets, Lions and Patriots didn’t beat the Cowboys. No, the Cowboys beat themselves in those games.

“I think the losses, we lost those games ourselves,” Bryant said. “I feel like once we get back in that meeting room and regroup, and we learn from our mistakes, the sky’s the limit.”

So the Cowboys aren’t really 2-3. They’re really 5-0, it’s just that three of those five wins were games they won for the other team. Or something.

In any event, with the Rams coming to town on Sunday, the Cowboys can probably count on being unbeatable for at least one game.

Your 2-3, not 5-0. Plus you dissappear in the 2nd half and in the clutch.
    Los Angeles Rams 11-5
Last Game - Loss vs. San Fransisco
    Up Next - vs. Atlanta

I can't stand fucks that give this excuse YOU GOT BEAT the other team was better and now you are disrespecting the other teams by talking shit like this. Now go and try to get better for the following week and stop crying to the media.
supposedly there is no I or U in team. Its a team sport you win as a team and you lose as a team.

Id rather have a reciever with that attitude than one that thinks his teams sucks, maybe just me.

I agree 110% with him on the Jets and Lions games though. They didnt beat the cowboys, Romo beat the cowboys. Call it an excuse all you want but if you watched the same games I did then you would agree.

Can't be unbeatable then if your QB folds like origami then, eh?

Hell no you can't, which is why he said....

He would have been better off saying, we COULD be unbeatable. The team has the ability to be 5-0, the only thing stopping them are mental mistakes. Not very many teams can say that. Romo has the ability to play smart, he has proven that before, he just needs to find his way back to that playstyle.

I this was Jason Witten or Demarcus Ware saying this then I have no problem cause they play with their heart and soul to win. Dez Bryant dosent. To me he looks like a guy that plsyd with his god given talents and dosent try to work to get better. But remember, Dez Bryant is better than Calvin Johnson. Ot at least Rob Ryan thinks so

Im sorry but Dez play with heart, Ive watched him since OSU and he has heart. Did you watch the Patriots game?? He was going up and down the sidelines trying to get the team pumped up and motivated. Honestly I think he needs a full training camp, you can tell the injury he sustained has hurt his ability to stay in football shape but that will get turned around.

All that being said, there are lots of things he still needs to work on to become the star we need him to be, and I think he will. As far as the comments go, they are just words, if that is what it takes for him to be confident and help motivate himself to play better than he can say whatever he wants.

Thats so far from the truth its crazy. He plays with more heart than most of the team. His problem is his maturity level and needing to understand that he can be and will have to be better. He tries to live off his natural talent for sure but that guy plays with more enthusiasm and heart than most.

I'm a cowboy hater but I have to disagree! Dez has so much emotion to win its unreal! So much heart it's hanging out on his sleeve. He's definitley megatron-ish, and possibly the hardest receiver to bring down after the catch. He bends, twists, folds his body every way to not be tackled.

I think it's Romo failing to show in the second half much more than Dez.
                      Detailing is an Obsession!!

Dez needs to focus on remembering his fucking pass routes.
It was the Rams, for crissakes.
