I'm not a Rangers fan, and I've been posting in the threads. Does that make me a bandwagon enemy?

For the record, I haven't said anything negative about the Rangers. I respect them as a ball club.

FWIW, I do like your avatar.

      • I guess I am a bandwaggoner.... There are too many games throughout the season to watch. I get bored in most games that don't have a meaning. However, I have enjoyed watching the World Series and only watch it if the Rangers are in it.

It's true, believe it or not, there is a huge contingent of Texans fans who honestly think we should bench Schaub and start Leinart. Fucking nuts, every time we lose a close game, it's "season over" mode.

Yeah, I seen it. And it looks like he did a good job of breaking up the double play, eh?

Having played middle infield my entire life, I can tell you the play wasn't dirty. It was just hard nosed, aggressive baseball. Players never "reach" for the bag. They just have to be close enough to do so, and he certainly was. Also, if you're going to break up the play, you slide straight at the player making the pivot. It would be dirty if he had gone in with spikes high. Trust me that if that had been one of our guys going in, they would've done the same thing. Everyone who plays middle knows that's going to happen anytime there's a close play. It's just part of the game and the way it's meant to be played.

I just noticed that the Rangers left 25 men on base? Is that even possible? It shows Andrus, Beltre, and Lewis all left 4 on. Damn!
I'm part of the camp that was crying to oust Wash last season and have been saying the same all season this year. Young can't play the field -- period. He should've been on the bench and available as a pinch hitter with 2 outs in the 5th when he stuck with Lewis. If the Rangers pull through tonight (and I'm hopeful!!!), it'll be in spite of Wash.

I guess it's more of a rhetorical question involving Young. As much as I like Moreland, his bat has been cold. Young has not been tearing the ball up either in the post season. There have been several botched plays I feel that Moreland would have made. I guess it's a toss-up.

Tell me about it. Depending on the score, I might duck out of here early again tonight. Maybe this time I'll give my buddy Will a black eye instead of a busted lip.

Cruz and Young play like they'll never play again to make up for their mistakes last night. The bullpen is damn near 100% and there's two starters we can throw in the game if it gets hairy as well. I like our chances, honestly. But then again, you saw what happened last night. Maybe the baseball gods just want to make the Rangers work for it. Hopefully that's what they want. If they want my blood, I can give them that too.
