Last night was punishing.

I am not exaggerating about just falling to the ground with my face down on my arms. I couldn't get myself up. I don't know how the players kept playing. I don't know how Josh mustered up the strength to knock one out.

Oddly, what bothered me the most, was how Hamilton REALLY came through with that late homer. You know that boy is hurting every time he swings the bat. In contrast, Cruz drifts back to the wall, a la Jose Canseco, and muffs a catchable fly ball.

Absolutely thought walking Pujols was the right thing to do. My only gripe was pulling Feldman so early for a pinch hit from Chavez. Both teams were deep into each others bullpen. The top of the Rangers order was coming up, let Scooter pitch one more inning. He was the best option at the moment to get out of the next inning. I'd take the top of the Rangers order versus the Cards 7th & 8th pitchers any day of the week.

Throwing Lowe out there was like raising the white flag. We all knew it was over when he came in.

Still, if you have to blame someone, it's Feliz for a horrible 9th inning & Nelly Cruz with a horrible play on a sharply hit fly ball.

Both pitching staffs are burned out and running on fumes. Rangers lineup & defense gives them the advantage.
