I disagree. They should try and work a deal with Matt Stairs to get him in the lineup.

I forgot about this, and it came up at dinner tonight. Did Murphy hurt himself with his final hit, or were they just replacing him with a faster base runner? They put in Gentry as a pinch runner for Murphy. I wasn't in the room when it happened, and the tv I was watching on doesn't have a DVR, so I couldn't rewind.

Our TV out here went out right after that but I am guessing they did it for speed and then defense the following inning

I think they brought in Gentry for 2 reasons. 1 is he has some speed so its a plus on the base running. Also he was in centerfield late in Game 5 and I think in Game 4 as well to cover the field being that Hamilton has that groin issue. So the moved Hamilton to Right I think or maybe Left.

The Yankees will determine CJ's worth this off-season. If they decide they want him, they will grossly overpay. CJ would be horrible in NY. His whole nonchalant attitude will go over like a lead balloon in the Bronx. I see him returning to Texas but hopefully paid like a #2 or 3 starter that he is.

I wouldn't mind him going to NY. Seems all the former Rangers that go there help them lose when it matters most...starting with A Fraud and Teixeira.

They've both won championships there and they are both great ballplayers. I consider them both to be traitors and they are one of the reasons why i hate the yankers, but they are certainly all-stars not truly deserving of your begrudgement.
