Holland will be on full rest coming off the best game of his career on the biggest stage in MLB. He has proven he knows how to pitch to these guys and that he isnt scared of going after Poohole and winning that battle.

Harrison while he was pitching pretty good could not overcome adversity in game 3 and we see how that one ended up. Gotta go with the hot hand, but thats just my opinion

But like Warsh said he knows his team and players better than anyone and he is not dumb His gut feeling is usually the right feeling

          • OK I have never watched baseball in my life so Im a complete noob. Started watching this world series but have a question. Berkman didnt get a piece of that last pitch so why did Napoli jump up when the ball bounced off his shin gaurd and throw it to first base, wouldnt it have been just a strike?

Catcher misses the ball on 2 strikes, and the batter can run.

oh ok that makes sense now, thanks.

Oh did anyone else catch the commissioner on 103.3 yesterday before the game? They were talking about the blown calls and instant replay and the comish said it would take away from the game because the pitcher would have to wait, lol. Does he not realize next to golf, this is the slowest game ever? If the NFL can make it work then there is no reason the MLB cant.

                • The Rangers made me late to work this morning.

                  Those assholes!!!

Colby will get it done. Now, the weather is the big question. If there is a rain out of game 6, and some how the Cards come up with a win, that puts a game 7 in Hollands hands IMO.

Holland threw 116 pitches, and has never pitched on short rest. I wouldn't even consider starting him. I'm sure he'll be avaliable out of the pen though.

He is a 24 year old KID be glad he did what he did the another night with a little strike zone assistance . And GREAT plays by the infielders

Don't you want to see him improve in 2012 and beyond , why would you want to strap him with losing the WLS for the rest of his life .

Are you kidding me? He has already shown he can bounce back from a WS meltdown. He had a total collapse against San Francisco. He obviously is young enough and talented enough to get over it. Maybe it is putting too much pressure on him. If there is a game 7, let Harrison start, and if he gets shaky, bring in Holland to see what he has got. It's all hands on deck at that point anyways.

Bounce back, he had done NOTHING in any playoff game until this one , you need to check the facts ..

Washington isn't putting him anywhere near the pitching mound for a start you can just forget that nonsense
