I would question why Napoli is at first? I don't think he has played first the entire post season.

He's at first to give him a break but keep him in the lineup.

Also, why was the pop fly and tag at the plate not an out? I didn't see it, just heard it on the radio. When I got home I was told that they caught a pop fly, and tagged the runner coming home

It wasn't a pop fly, it was a ground ball.

There are at least a half dozen officials on that field. Placing blame on a poorly thrown ball doest not give the official carte blanch to make a wrong call.

I said the umpire made a horrible call, but Kinsler made a horrible throw, Napoli made a good play to salvage it. Kinsler never should have put the umpire in a position to make that bad call.

I have no mercy. That fucking dude has 1 damn job in the world. He stares at a fucking base and waits to see if a guy touches it. That is his whole job. I do 100x time shit on a daily basis without screwing anything up. He has that 1 job and he fucks it up. Absolutely no fucking excuse.

He's got more to do than just stare at the base. Fair/foul balls, line drives/short hops, balks. Bad calls happen, but that bad call wouldn't have been made if Kinsler had made a decent throw.

If I was that employee, I would expect to get my ass handed to me and/or fired for fucking up on a stage as big as this. If I was his superior, I would rip his shit clean off, and how he reacted would judge if he had a job or not.

Any umpire that's umpiring in the World Series is going to respond by telling you that he blew the call after getting the benefit of judging a split-second play with a slow motion replay that lasts 10 seconds. He was in perfect position to make that call; unfortunately, that perfect position hindered his ability to see the tag cleanly. Most umpires have had to make that call before and all of them will support the assertion that it's an incredibly difficult call to get right because you don't have much visual evidence and you have no sonic evidence.

I understand that, but compared to the shit I deal with on a daily basis, it's childs play. I expect more from professionals, and especially officials at this caliber of a game. I expect the very best. And if that is the best they have, It's laughable.
