Absoulutely, although I think Gonzalez is on the B team. Ogando, Adams, Feldman (who hopefully will start again next year and pitch like game 2), and Feliz are the A team. The rest are scrubs.
I don't really consider Feldman part of the bullpen. I know, technically, he is coming out of the bullpen, I consider him a starter coming in to extend the starters start.

then what about ogando, he is a starter.
bottom line, ranger starting pitching hasnt been good. bullpen has bailed out the rangers in most of their post season wins.
Feldman is being used more as a long man, and Ogando is being used more as a setup guy. Setup guys are true bullpen pitchers IMO. A long man really is a starter, IMO.
I am just saying how I think about it in my head. Not saying anything that I am saying makes any sense to anyone else.
Yea, that walk made me furious. Either the Rangers had no idea Martinez was hurt, or Colby just couldn't get a pitch down the middle. I have to think Martinez can't swing a bat right now and couldn't when he was up to bat. He didn't even hint at swinging during that at bat. He just let Colby throw whatever he wanted.
We better not see Uehara again. I am done with that loser.
It is obvoius to me we have two bullpens. Our real bullpen, lets call them the A team. Ogando, Gonzalez, Adams, and Feliz. They come in when we really need them. And then we have the C squad. Uehara, O'day, and Oliver. It was obvious Ron wanted the A squad to get some rest for the rest of the serious.
With all due respect, Oliver has pitched well this post-season.
How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

Thats still really good depth, especially since 2 of those guys can go 4+ innings at the drop of a hat, hell even Feliz proved in Spring Training he is capaple of going 3-4 innings.
The only thing that drives me crazy is that Wash LOVES to use 3 bullpen guys a game, 7/8/9th innings, which really isnt bad because that is only one inning until you get into the situation we are in now where our starters arent even getting out of the 5th inning.
Just like game 2 when Feldman pitched great then Ogando was lights out, Ogando shouldnt have been taken out until it was time for Feliz to close the game out. That would have left us with Gonzalez to face the lefties and Oliver to play setup man to Adams. not that any of it would have mattered the way we played last night. But my point is dont throw the entire "A" bullpen at a team when you have someone throwing lights out the way Ogando was.
Of course, that is why I make the big bucks and Wash is just the teams manager haha

Im with you on this one, Oliver has a had a few bad games, but overall he has been pretty consistent the last couple of years. And lights out this postseason
I hate to get down on him too much, but Young is hitting well under .100 in this post-season. Hopefully, he'll turn it around starting today, and carry it through the series.
He's hitting .111 this postseason, which is horrible, but it's not "well under .100."
As mentioned already, I was a little surprised at some of Lewis' pitching choices. Didn't he have Cabrera (I think) at an 0-2 count, then threw a waist-high ball a little outside that was driven down the right field line? Why give a good hitter anything at all at that pitch count? Then (as Chevelle John mentioned) comes Martinez, who is obviously hurt, and you walk him?

Lewis was missing spots all night long, badly. The homerun he gave up to Martinez was supposed to be low and outside. It was low but on the inner half of the plate. Martinez did a nice job to hit it out, but it wasn't the pitch he wanted to make.

Gonzalez has had 2 appearances in this series, pitched to 2 batters. He gave up a double and got an out. He had 2 more appearances in the ALDS. Allowed 1 hit, struck out 2. He's pitched 1 inning in the postseason. Not that valuable IMO. Oliver has allowed 1 run, 3 hits (came in that bad outing against TB) in 3 innings of relief.
Tigers are still in because they are a good team...Texas cant win all the games especially after the long game on Monday....I'm thinking Texas will win today, lose tomorrow and wrap it up on game 6 here.
GO RANGERS

I like the idea of wrapping it up at home better anyway

Yeah, go back a page or 3. You'll see where I wasn't happy that Warsh pulled Ogando out of the game. I hate that Warsh likes to play matchups instead of just staying with the hot pitcher. Ogando can get anyone out.
