  • Andre Johnson out for the season?

Johnson is seeking a second opinion on his hamstring, however the team is not reporting what the initial tests discovered. I hate to be a skeptic but that tells me it is bad.

Something always seems to happen to the Texans.

If Johnson is out then it really hurts the Texans. Besides I dont think they are the best team in their division right now. The Titans are 3-1 and thats without a big impact from CJ2K
      Los Angeles Rams 11-5
Last Game - Loss vs. San Fransisco
      Up Next - vs. Atlanta

I told you bitches in the other thread that it was bad. A pulled hammy is bad amd it takes weeks to recover, a torn hammy is even worse and usually when they tear its near the tendon, thats what makes it as bad as a busted knee. He is a badass but they have plenty to win the division and make a run in the playoffs.

they've had this potential in the last 3 years to make the playoffs but they crumble late in the year.

Texans coach Gary Kubiak said Monday that wide receiver Andre Johnson will undergo further testing on the hamstring injury he suffered against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He will miss an undetermined amount of time.

Johnson had an MRI on Sunday after falling down without being touched in the second quarter. The five-time Pro Bowler grabbed his right leg just above the back of his knee as he went to the ground.

“We’re still in an evaluation process,” Kubiak said. “Obviously, we are dealing with a hamstring. We do know that. We’re going to get a couple of different opinions here over the course of the next two days, so it’s hard for me to give you an answer right now.

“He’s going to miss some time. I don’t know if that’s three or four days, I don’t know if that’s a few weeks. I don’t know right now. Once we get a better evaluation and see how he progress over the course of the net two days, then I could probably answer your questions better.”

Kubiak said that he doesn’t know if Johnson a torn hamstring and that it’s not unusual for players to seek a second opinion on an injury.

"Obviously with Andre right now, there’s big concern with what took place yesterday and where we’re going forward," he said. "But at the same time, we’ve got to do what’s best by Andre, and so that’s what we want to do right here so that he understands exactly what’s going on, we understand exactly what’s going on and we’ve got a lot of opinions as we move forward.”

Johnson had four catches for 36 yards before his injury on Sunday. No other Texans wide receiver caught a pass in the game.

If Johnson is unable to play in Week 5 against Oakland, Jacoby Jones would move into the starting lineup opposite Kevin Walter. Bryant Johnson and David Anderson also would take on more prominent roles.

Jones, a fifth-year pro, started the final three games in 2010. He had 17 catches for 235 yards, including a career-high 115-yard game at Denver in Week 16.

“I’ve got a lot of confidence in those guys,” Kubiak said. “Jacoby’s grown up a lot as a player. He went in yesterday and played well. He’s much better in the run game than he has been in the past. He’s very capable of making big plays.

“If we’re missing time with Andre, you don’t replace Andre. What you do is you’ve got to pick it up across the board at other spots. Yesterday, O.D. (tight end Owen Daniels) did that for us from a receiving standpoint. If he’s going to miss some time, we’re just going to have to play better as a group.”

Bryant Johnson signed with the Texans in the final week of the preseason. The ninth-year veteran (6-3, 212), a first-round pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2003, has one catch for 16 yards this season.

“It’s been a mental catch-up thing for Bryant, but he has come a long way,” Kubiak said. “He plays a little bit yesterday in the game. His preparation has been excellent. (Wide receivers coach) Larry (Kirksey) really thinks a lot of him as a person and a player. We’re going to find out right now how much he can help us.

“With Kevin and Jacoby, our third receiver, what he always has to do is be able to go into the game and play two spots. We’ll ask Bryant to do that right away. He’ll get all the practice reps, so expecting him to step up and help us.”

              god bless.

read something from PFT that said Johnson could miss 3 games, probably the same type of injury that Miles Austin has with his hamstring. Didnt completely read the article, just skimmed through it.
