The Yankees DID NOT try and win that game last night. If you're tying to win, you don't pitch 11 pitches where you ask "who the fuck is that?" and you also don't pull what little starters you were playing in the 6th or 7th inning. That is not trying to win a ballgame, sorry.

Why would NY care about keeping Boston out of the playoffs? Boston is terrible. If anything, you'd think they'd want to keep Tampa Bay out of the playoffs because they're hot right now and might have to face them in the ALCS.Why use any of their playoff pitchers in a game that doesn't directly impact them, when the playoffs start in 2 days?I thought they put Strop on waivers to make room for somebody coming back.
